Import Basic Facts

  1. Click "Admin"

  2. Click "Import or Update Records"

  3. Click "Create Import"

  4. Choose the Record Type:

    1. The Parent Record needs to be created before the Child Record can be created.

    2. Child Records are any table sections in the workflow

  5. Chose the Import Type:

    1. Insert: Create New Records. You must provide a unique value in the “Name” column for records you want to create.

    2. Update: Update Existing Records. You must provide a value in the “Vsimple id” column for records that you want to update. Not all cells need to have data for the update, only the Vsimple ID and the fields required to update.

    3. Upsert: Create New Records and Update Existing Records. Vsimple ID is required to update, but not to create. A unique Name is always required.

  6. Click "Next"

  7. Click "sample CSV template" to download to your downloads folder.

  8. Map your data onto the template.

  9. Drag and Drop or Click the cloud icon to select the proper CSV file.

  10. Click Import

Facts about Imports:

  1. User fields must be imported as the email address of the user

  2. If record types are present in the workflow, Record type is required to create new.

  3. To Update a multiselect field, separate the data with a semicolon

  4. To add multiple users to a collaborators list, separate them with a comma
