Update Records

  1. From the List View on your Vsimple Home Page, filter for the data you are updating or creating and click "EXPORT."

  2. Download the export emailed to you.

  3. Click "Admin"

  4. Click "Import or Update Records"

  5. Click "Create Import"

  6. Choose the Record Type:

    Update: Update Existing Records. You must provide a value in the “Vsimple id” column for records that you want to update. Not all cells need to have data for the update, only the Vsimple ID and the fields required to update.

  7. Chose the Import Type:

    1. Update: Update Records. Vsimple ID is require (this is on your recently exported data)
  8. Click "Next"

  9. Click "sample CSV template" to download to your downloads folder.

  10. Map your data onto the template.

  11. Use the Vsimple ID from the emailed export to attach the new table data to the correct parent record.

  12. Drag and Drop or Click the cloud icon to select the proper CSV file.

  13. Click Import
